Back to Swanley Bridge

We drove up from Cornwall today. We managed a getaway just after nine - as a result we felt we could treat ourselves to a good coffee break at Sedgemoor services.

This was the first real run in our new car - still a Peugeot 3008 but the new re-worked version. With all the latest screen display technology and features galore, it felt like coming to terms with a space ship control! (Not that we really know what that actually feels like!) In any event,. it was a smooth journey with relatively light traffic conditions and we did feel a little less tired than usual at the end of it.

We had already decided not to try to move off today - just as well as it was rather windy - so as soon as we arrived, just before three, we paid for the extra night. We also had to report that we had a different number plate just in case security get twitchy!

Tonight's meal was made yesterday so there was no rush and we will go into Nantwich tomorrow morning to re-stock.
